After SPM (Public Pre-U)

A lot of people do not know where should they go after SPM.
Some people might say,
Parents will help us to decide.
Some will say,
I want to work to gain experience first.
Some assert,
No,this is liberalisation, I want to make my own choice.
Regardless what choice you make, must remember one thing, never regret it.
Basically after SPM,before heading towards degree all people must go through pre-u .
For this blog I will focus on public pre-u.
So,the first thing is you want public or private university.

For public route, we have
-Diploma
-STPM
-Matriculation
-Foundation

1.Diploma
*Advantages
-Can straightly specialise in what are we going to study.
-After diploma,we can work already (lower salary)
-The schedule is not very packed, can join a lot of activities.
*Disadvantages
-Time consuming
-Limited choice in degree

2.STPM
*Advantages
-Recognised by most universities
-Challenging
-Allow us to have time to decide on our future.
-Cheap
*Disadvantages
-Very tough syllabus
-Difficult to get preferred courses in public universities
-Time consuming

3.Matriculation
*Advantages
-Fast track
-Syllabus is quite simple
-Advantage in cocu mark
-Get allowance
*Disadvantages
-Very packed schedule along the year
-All things need to be done by ownself
-Not recognised by all institutions around the world
-Strict rules
(Matriculation is only opened for 10% non bumiputera)

4.Foundation (Asasi)
(This is only opened for bumiputera student.Like matriculation very fast, but the difference is it does not have strict rules and curfew like matriculation.)
Public universities,is it your choice.
But why people choose public u
1.Cheap
2.High ranking
3.More competitive

Thank you.
